Trail Overview

Bull Hollow Road is an "out and back" drivable trail that is used for access to three cabins (private) and leads to a dual sport trail. This is a typical Bald Eagle State Forest drivable trail consisting of dirt, rocks, and mud with occasional deep ruts, rock steps, and washes. Once you turn off Short Mountain Road the trail starts off easily, running parallel to a small stream. At roughly 1 mile in you'll pass the second cabin where the trail difficulty starts to increase and the obstacles mentioned above really start. After a rain, expect sections of the trail to be completely covered in water, hiding what's underneath. While this is one of the wider drivable trails it is only one vehicle wide with a few places to pull over if needed. After reaching the third cabin this is where the drivable trail ends and the dual sport begins. There is plenty of room to turn a few vehicles around to head back out but be mindful of the cabin property.

Trail was open and clear. Small mudholes that are pretty easily avoidable on a dirt bike and small enough that 4wd is most likely not necessary.

I would not give this trail a 4 rating. It was pretty wide open. There were some rocky spots however near the end of the trail there was a Honda Pilot parked, not a beast of an offroader. At the end there is a cabin, you oddly have to turn around in their yard.

Gorgeous trail following a stream. Trail ends in a single track so you may encounter returning vehicles and bikes cutting through. plenty of places to pull off and let people pass but they are fairly small. Overall not too technical

A relatively easy out and back trail with some rocks and some deeper ruts, but nothing too difficult. There are three cabins along the trail and plenty of room to turn around at the end.

our guide had originally listed this driveable trail and said there were some pretty muddy/soft areas and plenty of rutted up sections. since he had driven it, it looks like DNR has repaired areas and drainage cut other areas. definitely not a 4 rating anymore. anything with high clearance and good tires will be fine on this trail. also for a pa driveable trail things were wide enough for my Silverado. definitely only 1 vehicle wide with a few new cutouts thanks to a bulldozer. trail ends at a cabin. a very pleasant down and back trail.
