Trail Overview
This is Brothwell Run - FS 625. This road is open year-round to high-clearance vehicles only. This is a dirt surface pack road. It’s pretty smooth. There are a few potholes. The road is marked for heavy truck traffic and looks like there’s some activity; a little bit further in from the entrance, there are some ruts and waviness in the road surface. 0.2 miles in there’s a non-functioning pump jack on the left-hand side and some potholes. The surface is getting pretty uneven, so you want to take it slow. There seem to be a few more pump jacks located on the right side of the road. We are coming up to a right-hand turn in the road at half a mile in, and there’s a gate. The gate to the left is open, so head left. The road, the surface of the road is a little bit wet and muddy, but it doesn’t last long. 0.8 miles in, there’s a Y in the road; we’re going to the right. About 1 mile and there’s some holes and water in the road what is going now uphill and it’s a little bit rockier. And we come to a “T,” and we are going to head to the right. 1.2 miles is the end. Accessibility: Like many forest roads, its condition can vary, and it is best to check the Allegheny National Forest Motor Vehicle Use Map (MVUM) for the latest information on its status. Conditions are also subject to weather and seasonal changes. https://www.fs.usda.gov/r09/allegheny
