Trail Overview
Baker Run Road is primarily an out-and-back 9-mile ungraded gravel and dirt road. There is a gate at the western end that could be open; please plan on it being closed. It is an easy ride in the summer months; however, there is no winter maintenance on this trail. During times of rain, snow, and ice, the trail can become rutted and harder to travel on. Baker Run Road is within Sproul State Forest. There are numerous spots to stop along this road and enjoy the foliage and possible wildlife. There are a few camp sites located in this part of Sproul State Forest to choose from. This region of Pennsylvania is a great place to explore during the fall when the leaves are changing color, and the full beauty of the State Forest is on display.

During times of rain, snow, and ice, the road will become rutted and harder to travel on. There could be areas of rutting, mud, and standing water as well as downed branches.
