Trail Overview

Trail 109 Blue presents a challenging rocky hill situated right on the Sunoco Gasline. There are two distinct climbs with varying levels of difficulty. The rockier of the two hills can be influenced by weather conditions, as erosion tends to fill in the gaps between rocks with sediment. This creates spots where traction can be lost. On dry days, the trail may be somewhat easier, but the rocks still pose a challenge as they seek out differentials to grab onto.

Difficulty

There is no shortage of rocks on this trail. They can be up to 18 inches and will try to grab your undercarriage. Add in a little sediment and slippery conditions and this can be quite challenging.

9 Grenadiers went up the hill. The leader guided the others with a plan up after about 10-minutes of experimenting himself: in low-lock, come in left near the grass, turn right before the split, then keep middle-right until the top. I had front and rears also locked, but my beast was sliding toward the top and found its footing. One Gren took the left path and almost grounded on a boulder, but he, the Gren and the boulder lifted up and got out of it. No damage! But your results may vary.
