Trail Overview

This trail starts right off of County Road 25. You then go through a creek crossing, then start your ascent up the hill, crossing multiple rock shelves and very slick red clay, especially after a heavy rain. Four wheel drive is needed as well as high clearance.

Traveled from the Sitka end and came out at Fay. It was pretty dry even though it had rained a few days earlier. Locked the hubs in but never engaged the front axle. Did the whole trail in 2 wheel drive low range with the locking differential disengaged. Might have been a different story if I had started on the Fay end as I would have been climbing the steepest part instead of descending it.
