Trail Overview

Smith Road is a powersports-legal route that traverses the Lesser Wilderness State Forest toward the Tug Hill region. The trail features a well-maintained surface consisting primarily of dirt and gravel. Riders should maintain moderate speeds, as several corners contain loose stone that can cause traction loss. Please be respectful of the camps and private property situated along the trail. It is critical to follow all signage; stay strictly on the designated Smith Road, as riding on adjacent trails such as the Smith Road PFAR or paths explicitly marked as prohibited to ATVs and side-by-sides may result in fines or citations.
