Trail Overview

This is an old railroad bed. Originally, The Sissy Danforth Trail. Purchased and developed for ATVs some 20 years ago. Views of wildlife and nature abound. Lakes, farmland, and wetlands make up the landscape. Some very interesting historical locations along the trail, with some difficult wet, muddy areas. A great ride with many options in nearby towns for fuel and food. Area towns and roads are ATV-friendly.

Difficulty

Mostly hard gravel/stone surfaces with a few deep water and mud holes. Difficult areas have decent trails around them.

History

Originally a railroad spur from Philadelphia to Cape Vincent, Theresa, Redwood, and points north. "The Sissy Danforth Trail"

Great quick ride! Arrived in philly at 750. Rode 3/4 way to Theresa (DEEP water) and back. Got back at 9ish taking my time and taking pictures.
