Trail Overview

This trail goes through Burnt-Rossman State Forest. It is a mostly maintained dirt road with occasional mud holes or deep ruts in sections. Deep water can accumulate in the ruts in the spring. There is a great primitive camping area Arthur Hopkins campsite on a small pond just off the road.

Difficulty

Most of the road is seasonally maintained but there can be ruts and mud in spots which make it difficult to drive through, especially in the sprint.

Smooth conditions, narrow for full size vehicle at some points (brush overgrowth) otherwise easy 2WD accessible with a little ground clearance. Nothing technical during visit.

Nice fun trail on a non maintained dirt/gravel road. Trail length on app is deceiving as only 5.4 miles is actually trail/not paved and the other half is paved. Northern part has more paved then the south part. All pits/holes are hard bottom but no more than 6-9inches deep. If you go up explore some of the other trails around as well as they are not on map but you can ride on to lengthen out your trip like Cole Hollow Rd and Stockbridge Rd/Cedar Dr.

Muddy after the snow melt but no deep crossings. Beautiful forested mountain terrain. There are some dispersed camp sites as well. Last part is mostly paved.
