Bass River Scenic Route

Trail is mostly packed dirt with loose gravel on top. Some parts have had new gravel dumped and spread. Some parts are finer others are bigger. Some fallen branches but nothing too serious

This time of year all there really was to see was trees. Views of the River were obstructed. We stayed in 2wd the entire time with no issues. Some washboarding, but not much.

quiet, peaceful, wooded area, easy driving gravel roads

Easy peasy lemon squeezy. Very relaxed ride with a few areas that might be tricky after heavy rains but no issues today (and I am new to the off-roading world). Had about a dozen horse and deer flies hitching rides on my back windshield and around my hood scoop, so I kept my windows up; didn’t see anyone else 😁 except a parked forest service vehicle on an offshoot.

Courtois Creek was impassable at Bass River resort. Had to access further down Hwy 8 in Washington County. Once on the trail it was peaceful and quiet. Saw a couple of BMW motorcycles on the trail which was pretty cool.
