Trail Overview

2nd Gear 153 begins at a flat staging area and descends sharply into the Punch Bowl. The hill reaches inclines of up to 38 degrees, making it a very steep descent. The trail surface is entirely dirt, which can become extremely slick and dangerous when wet. A tree root protrudes from the path, posing a potential obstacle that demands careful attention. Drivers should approach this descent with caution, especially during or after rain, as traction will be limited and control may be difficult. This trail is not recommended for inexperienced drivers or vehicles without adequate braking and traction control. It is best suited to run from the top down due to the pretty wide mud hole at the bottom that will make going up very difficult due to traction.

Difficulty

This trail is very challenging due to its steep slope of up to 38 degrees and loose dirt surface. Wet conditions make traction very poor and increase the risk of slipping. Drivers should have strong braking control and off-road experience to navigate safely.
