Trail Overview
FS 308K is a short section of gravel road that leads to a pair of motorized use trails. The gravel portion is about a quarter of a mile long and is easily passable with any vehicle. The right branch, though mostly level, is more difficult due to downed trees and moderately deep mud holes. The mud holes seem to have a solid bottom. There are multiple tight turns on the trail and tree branches protruding onto/over the road. This is an in-and-out trail, with enough room at the end to turn a full-sized pickup around. Turning a vehicle with a trailer around might be a bit difficult if you can get there. At the end is a nice dispersed campsite, large enough for one or maybe two vehicles. Trees are mostly southern pine with some scrub brush.
Difficulty
There are several tight turns, tree branches sticking into the road, and a few logs to cross. Mud holes about 1 foot deep, though potentially deeper if there has been recent heavy rain.
