West Tower Road/ Mission Hill Lookout

West Tower Road is a two-lane dirt road that is between Spectacle Lake and Dollar Settlement. Mission Hill Lookout Tower is the highest point in the area. There is limited cell service. Traveling from the Lookout Tower to Mission West road navigates a spine with drop-offs to either side. This trail covers NFS Road 3685 and NFS 3152. After leaving Mission West Road, NFS 3085, the trail becomes sandy. Tread lightly, as this is a National Forest. At the lookout tower, there are two options for coming back down from the top. One option is rutted with roots across the path. The other option is an easier path, but a tighter turn.
