Trail Overview
Second Dam Road starts as a regular dirt road and becomes an unmaintained, remote seasonal road in the Gladwin ORV area. The sign states "Dead End" east of Herner Road, but really it should say Dead Ends. There are multiple spurs off the end of this trail that look like they would connect back to the rest of the trail system, but all of them seem to dead-end at the Molasses River. This is a mild seasonal road with light sand and dirt terrain, with dense woods surrounding it. It is dusty during dry weather.
Difficulty
This is an easy seasonal road that is passable for all vehicles. It gets narrower as you travel east, but it is still wide enough for a full-size vehicle. Snow will add to its difficulty in the winter, as this is an unmaintained road.
