Trail Overview
License Plate Required! Sandy Berm Trail is a fun track for beginners to check out due to its being an easy track with a variety of terrain. Located just west of US Highway 131, this route is easily accessible. Connecting No. 2 Road and the Grand Traverse County to Supply Road MCCCT Trail, the MCCCT Trail has a lot to offer. The surface mostly consists of a combination of sand, dirt, and grass, and weaves through a gorgeous section of the Traverse City Forest Management Unit. There's a lot of lush plant life along this trail to be seen. Like most of Michigan trails, conditions are dependent on the weather. Recent rainfall can cause mud/water holes that can get rutted out quickly. Most of this trail is only wide enough for 1 vehicle with limited places to pass. There are a few places with a fair amount of overgrowth along the trail, so please use caution and come prepared! Regardless of the conditions, this is a wonderful trail for everyone!
