Trail Overview
This trail begins as a quiet grass-and-hard-packed dirt two-track that quickly sets the tone for a more remote, lightly used route. Overgrown in sections with low-hanging branches, it feels tucked away and rarely traveled, with little sign of frequent traffic as it winds deeper into the forest. The path twists through thick tree cover, staying narrow and natural the whole way. It’s a low-speed trail that rewards a slow, steady pace—more about the experience than getting anywhere quickly. Rough patches of terrain and encroaching brush keep things interesting without ever becoming technical. Eventually, the trail opens up into a surprisingly nice, secluded camping area. It feels calm and undisturbed, surrounded by dense woods that block out most outside noise—an easy spot to settle in and feel fully off-grid. From there, it continues and connects into the Harmon Road trail, where the terrain begins to shift into sections of deeper sand. As always, conditions can change quickly in these forest connectors, so downloading offline maps is recommended before heading in.
