Trail Overview
This is the Dickinson County, Michigan, Norway Truck Trail, Cassidy Creek Road trail. Cassidy Creek is a full-width forest road serving the Norway Truck Trail system. This trail is wide and mainly has a gravel base. The scenery around the trail ranges from open meadows to thickly wooded forests. The trail has a good amount of elevation change throughout, as well as several winding and switchback sections. This trail is an excellent way to quickly make it from the southwest end of the Norway trail system back to the center. Several trailheads are accessible throughout the length of this trail. However, some trails are open to ORVs only, so know where the legal trails are for your vehicle type.
Difficulty
This trail can be completed by all skill levels. The trail is well maintained with Moderate to excellent sight lines throughout. There are no serious obstacles that need to be traversed. The trail is 2 vehicles wide for most of its length however, there are a few sections that narrow up to one vehicle wide for small amounts of time. When there has been periods without rain the base on this trail can lead to lots of dust, so be sure to take caution if riding in a group.
