NFS Road 9883

This trail is Service Road 9883 in the scenic Manistee National Forest in Newaygo County. It is a single-lane dirt and sandy out-and-back trail off of NFS Road 9884 that ends at a non-motor vehicle area. The trail is a bit hilly and can be rutted in areas, but nothing that presents a major obstacle. It can also be narrow in spots as it is through a heavily wooded part of the forest, but there are ample spots to pass oncoming traffic. As with most trails in the area, standing water or mud can be encountered if run after rain or during the spring thaw.
