Trail Overview

NFS 9179 is an easy off-road trail loop for beginners. Located within the Manistee National Forest, this trail is easy with nothing technical. Most of the trail consists of sand and dirt as you wind down the two-rack. Like most Michigan trails, conditions are dependent on the weather. Recent rainfall can cause mud/water holes that can get rutted out quickly. Most of this trail is only wide enough for 1 vehicle with limited places to pass. Regardless of the conditions, this is a great starter trail that will come with great fall foliage!
