NFS 5158

NFS 5158 is a fantastic bidirectional trail located within the Manistee National Forest. This is your classical Michigan 2-track trail, dirt, mud, sand, woods, twisty sections, etc. Like most of these Michigan trails, conditions are dependent on the weather. Recent rainfall can cause unfavorable conditions on the trail including downed trees, mud holes, and washouts. Most of this trail is only wide enough for 1 vehicle with limited places to pass. There are a few specific mud holes to keep an eye out for during your trek. This track navigates alongside private property. Please be respectful of the local landowners so we can keep trails like this open for future generations! Regardless of the conditions, this is a neat trail!
