Trail Overview

This diverse trail is open on one end only from August 16 to January 31. It features multiple mud puddles of varying size, along with open areas suitable for campfires. A gate exists at the north entrance, though closure times are unclear, and a bypass was observed in August 2025.

Difficulty

We navigated this trail after a dry summer, and some of the puddles were a foot deep. Some of the puddles would be much deeper in the spring or fall. The puddles have a sandy bottom, but there are areas that can be slick.

The South Gate was closed and signs up saying closed February-August.

The only vehicles I came across were hunters vehicles. This trail as of now is very passable in a stock 4x4. When it is wet it is not to be taken lightly. Be sure to go prepared with a way to self recover.
