Trail Overview

Federal Forest Service Road (FS) 3122, also known as Kenneth Road, is a federally owned/ locally maintained, Level-2/ Level-3 forest road with a surface composition of dirt, sand, gravel, and native material. This route is currently open and in fair condition; it is a portion of a DNR route, known as ORV Route A (ORV use is subject to local government regulations). It connects East Lake Road to FS 3747, FS 3750, FS 3123, FS 3125, and FS 3360 while crossing over the North Branch of the Carp River and Taylor Creek. Description created on September 17, 2025.

History

Kenneth Road, located just north of St. Ignace, Michigan, is situated in a region with deep historic roots, serving as a gateway to the eastern Upper Peninsula's natural landmarks and early French missionary, Native American, and logging history. The area near St. Ignace was established in 1671 by Father Jacques Marquette.
