Trail Overview
Jungle Trail is an adventurous off-road trail with nothing technical but a lot of overgrowth. The name says it all, a lot of this trail is very tight with overgrowth and keeps you on your toes. Most of the trail is a combination of dirt, sand, and grass. You'll navigate through the Cadillac Forest Management Unit towards an overlook of the Manistee River. Along this trail, you'll find a small dispersed campsite. If you plan on camping off this trail, PLEASE TREAD LIGHTLY, and please seek more information at the local DNR Office/Ranger Station prior to camping here. Like most Michigan trails, conditions are dependent on the weather. Recent rainfall can cause downed trees, washouts, & mud holes. Since this trail doesn't see a lot of traffic, and therefore has a decent amount of overgrowth, it also means that after recent bad weather, downed trees are a high possibility. Come prepared. Most of this trail is only wide enough for 1 vehicle with limited places to pass. Regardless of the conditions, this is a fun trail!
