Trail Overview
Gopher Run is a road that runs through the Cadillac Forest Management Unit. When starting Gopher Run at Bager Trail, the trail will start out on hard-packed sand and go by a little cedar swamp. Once you get past the cedar swamp, the trail will go through a small area that can get a little muddy. The next section of the trail consists of loose sand, with brush on both sides, which can make passing oncoming traffic difficult. After this section, the trail will start going uphill, which is usually in different stages of being washed out. Once you get to the top of the hill, the trail goes back to hard-packed sand until you get to the end. Gopher Run will take you by a small cedar swamp, different stages of clearcuts, and areas of Beech and Pine trees. Gopher Run can get narrow in a couple of spots but in most areas passing oncoming vehicles is possible.

Difficulty
The hill on Gopher Run can get pretty rutted out due to heavy rains. The bottom of the hill can also have a lot of sand build up after a heavy rain. The sand build-up is usually pretty soft and can get rutted as well. There is also one spot that can get muddy under the right conditions as well.
