Trail Overview
Forest Service Road 9067 is a well-maintained, fast-paced two-lane gravel road that runs east to west through the heart of the Manistee National Forest. Spanning a beautiful stretch of forested landscape, this route is easily accessible for all vehicle types, including passenger cars, making it a great option for casual explorers as well as overlanders and forest users. The drive offers scenic views of dense woodlands, with occasional clearings and opportunities to spot local wildlife. The eastern end of the trail connects to FS 7110, while the western end links up with FS 9990, both of which are also gravel forest roads. While the road conditions are generally excellent, cell phone service is spotty throughout the area, so downloading offline maps in advance is highly recommended.
This is an ideal route for a relaxing nature drive or a scenic connection between other trails in the area.
