Trail Overview

This forest road near Tawas provides a convenient connection between Plank Road and FS 4402, passing through mature forest to the south and younger growth to the north. The route consists of hard-packed sand and remains wide enough for two vehicles throughout, making for an easy drive. Unfortunately, scattered illegal dumping and roadside trash can be found along portions of the route.

Sandy and a little dusty. Nice drive aside from all the trash and mattresses that people have dumped along the trail. Saw a minivan that was looking around for a spot, drove into the woods and opened his side door. Probably to dump something. :( Otherwise a pleasant easy drive. JL with 33’s.
