Trail Overview

This route is an ORV route connector between the Grayling & Kalkaska ORV trail. This route runs through the Frederick ORV trail, often intersecting it. This offers many opportunities to jump on a 50-inch trail if you choose to do so. There is regular maintenance on this route, keeping it clean. The largest obstacle on this route will be the deep sand. For some vehicles, this is not a problem-use your discretion. During the winter months, this ORV route is used as a groomed snowmobile trail.

Trail was very bumpy with spots of loose sand turns. Fun trail if you come from tank trail this will take you back to 612 near Frederic.

Lots of deep sand. Definitely needed to be in 4 high to keep speed up. Lots of cool little offshoots on the trail to explore. Beautiful scenery, only a handful of other riders out there. Trail is pretty washboarded from the ORV’s so if you’re in a jeep or truck, consider airing down your tires a little bit for a smoother ride.

Trail had fairly deep sand, loose. Couple times vehicle began to slow and struggle in some parts. Got through just fine. Air down would be helpful. Definitely need 4x4

Dusty today. Traveling from North to South is downhill. Wide two lane sandy road. Multiple side trails.
