Trail Overview
This is a fantastic trail that runs between Magnum Road and Yalmer Road and can be traveled in either direction. It winds through the Gwinn Forest Management Unit, offering plenty of opportunities for exploration. Several offshoot trails branch off along the route, including Old Camp Four Trail.
Along the way, you’ll enjoy scenic views overlooking marshy wetlands and dense wooded areas. Near the north end, closer to Magnum Road, a small bridge crosses Levasseur Creek, providing a great photo opportunity and a nice landmark along the route. Trail conditions can change quickly, so it’s important to pay close attention to recent rainfall. Some low-lying sections are prone to flooding and can be deceptively deep. The surface is rocky in many areas, adding to the challenge and making for a fun, technical route. If you’re looking for a trail that blends scenery, adventure, and exploration, this one is definitely worth checking out.
