Trail Overview
25 1/4 Trail is an off-road trail with multiple dispersed campsites that can be found along this trail, and also off its spur trails. Most of the trail is a combination of dirt, sand, and grass. You'll weave through the Cadillac Forest Management Unit towards the looping finish of this trail at a dispersed campsite with an overlook of the Manistee River. If you plan on camping off this trail, PLEASE TREAD LIGHTLY, and please seek more information at the local DNR Office/Ranger Station prior to camping here. Like most Michigan trails, conditions are dependent on the weather. Recent rainfall can cause downed trees, washouts, & mud holes. Most of this trail is only wide enough for 1 vehicle with limited places to pass. Use caution when navigating this trail, as it's heavily trafficked by SxS that have caused the trail to have a long stretch of washboard. It gets rough. Regardless of the conditions, this is a great trail that leads to wonderful campsites with excellent views of the Manistee River!
