Trail Overview

Success Pond Road is a maintained gravel and dirt road extending northeast from Berlin, New Hampshire. Shortly after leaving Berlin, the road provides access to several OHV trailheads and staging areas. Continuing northeast, it crosses into Maine before reaching Success Pond, where a small parking area, car-top boat launch, and designated fishing access are available to the public. Approximately 1.3 miles before the pond, the route connects with North Pond Road, which continues eastward into Maine. Portions of Success Pond Road are shared with OHV traffic; however, most segments are open only to street-registered vehicles. Along the way, the road intersects with multiple OHV trails that are closed to full-size vehicles. Verify road and trail designations before exploring side routes. Success Pond Road also serves as the primary access route for camps and private residences around Success Pond and in the surrounding area. While generally wide and well-traveled, exercise caution and remain mindful of other road users and landowners.
