Trail Overview

On this gravel road, you will travel up the back side of Goodwin Hill. You will pass many side trails that double as ATV and snowmobile trails in the corresponding seasons. There are some beautiful overlooks of Great Moose Pond. Leaf peeper views are excellent in the fall. Just watch out for hunters and logging trucks, as this trail is part of an active paper company land trust for wood harvesting.

Difficulty

Most of the trail is gravel road with some ruts, small rocks, and run-off ruts along the sides of the road. Once at the top the trail, it becomes an overgrown logging trail that becomes a dirt and grass path with mud and branches.

There were a couple of washout sections that required much attention to driving. Moreso coming down than going up. I used crawl control and mogul MTS to navigate the washouts with rocks. Still passable if your suspension can articulate well. Otherwise, a very pleasant drive!
