Trail Overview

Nicholson Ford is all river bottom ground. Besides a couple of drainage ditches and previous flood levees, the terrain is very flat and open. This particular trail is very open and straight. The Trail Surface is mostly dirt. This trail has many intersections, allowing the connection of almost every trail in the park.

Access Description

From the trailhead on the southeast corner of the parking lot, head directly to the east. Once you cross over the bike path/ levee, you will be able to turn right or left immediately onto the perimeter trail or continue down the main road of the park.
