Trail Overview

This enjoyable roller coaster like loop trail is just off Trail 1 not far from the parking lot. It starts at the Trail 6 sign, then takes a one-way trail, 6A. That will end with an easy out (not included in submission) or continue to another one-way trail, 6B. It makes a loop trail with some tight sections, steep drop-offs on the sides, hairpin turns, and a lot of hills as it wanders through the ridges and ravines in a forest setting. Has some mudholes with bypasses. Can be slick, muddy in spring time or after heavy rain. Signs indicate this loop as more difficult

Difficulty

The park signs rate this as more difficult. It is a narrow winding trail through the woods with steep drop-offs on each side in many spots. The trail surface is a mixture of rock/dirt and has been recently graded/maintained as of 7/2/2024 to help with excessive ruts and drainage

Definitely not an easy trail!! Steep muddy grades with hairpin turns. The park has this rated as one of their “most difficult/advanced” trails. Their recommended advice is that the trail is best for “aggressive tires, winches, off-road experience and buddies suggested”. Signs are not super clear. It is easy to end up going the wrong way on a one way trail. This happened with multiple groups of people we ran into and most of the trail does not have passing room. We did the trail in our Jeep Gladiator and there were several tight spots. I would not recommend trying it in anything larger. Everyone else on the trail was on ATVs and side by sides.

Published trail still is not correct or what was actually recorded/submitted to OnX. Gotta use a little common sense and follow the more traveled path. Trail was a little wet in some spots, but just added to the fun. Was a great day on the trails. This loop trail is one of my favorites in the park

Trail published is NOT the trail as it was submitted! 2nd part of the loop as it is currently published has very difficult trail sections. Just rained so trail is very slick, especially hill sides

not sure why, but when OnX published the trail, didn't use my recorded track, so what is published is a little off, but trail is easy to follow
