Trail Overview
This 2.2-mile trail is an intermediate route with incredible views of the Teton Mountain Range. It climbs up steeply from the intersection with Mahogany and South Horseshoe for the first quarter mile, with lots of little rocks in the trail, topping out at a stunning view of the Tetons. From there, you ride the ridge line, mostly descending the rest of the way to the intersection with the Nickerson Grove ATV trail. It does a lot of narrow side-hilling, descending on a steep and loose dirt surface. It's pretty flowy in spots, but is also more technical in spots from the loose rocks and roots, and frequent moderate drop-offs from embedded rock during the narrow and exposed sections. It descends off the ridgeline into the trees near the northeast end, with continuous loose, rocky, and steep surfaces.
Difficulty
This is an intermediate trail due to moderate exposure, narrow sections of trail, and steep, loose grades. There aren't any major ledges or stair-step obstacles, but the continuous steep grade and rocky surface will be a good challenge for average riders.
