Trail Overview

This is a fun, un-traveled trail from Horse Haven to Bunco Road. The road is narrow, primarily with limited pullouts. It is mostly smooth and could be done in 2WD with no problems, but there are a couple of creek crossings with steep departures, so a high-clearance rig is recommended.

1525 Is marked as a Trail and not maintained as a FS road. the brush is very thick making this definitely more of an ATV trail unless you really don't mind scratching your paint. I only managed maybe a half mile down the trail before I decided it'd be safer to turn around due to the Snow. definitely want to avoid this trail until the snow melts.

very narrow trail. no obstacles. the "creek crossings" are a joke. barely a trickle of water in them and easily passable in any vehicle. don't know why it's rated a 4/10. 2/10 is more realistic. great views in places. I wouldn't want to do it in a full size unless I brought a chainsaw and plan on scratching the paint from the trail being so narrow.

not a bad trail. beware of pi striping it's definitely much more of a ATV trail than one meant for a full size vehicle but I took my 4th gen 4runner down it and it survived with lots of pinstriping. Neat little creek crossing.

Lovely little 2 track, with an interesting historic feel to it due to an oversized road bed (maybe rail line?). Very easy except for the Solitaire Cr. crossing, but even that was no issue. This trail is VERY tight. You will end up with serious pinstriping; own it!

First time on this trail and it was super mild. There were a few tight spots with overhead limbs and downed/cut timber. My buddy got a sidewalk puncture and luckily we ran into someone who had a plug kit for the win! but overall great experience! Would definitely recommend for beginners!

Brush was pretty heavy but open enough for a Jeep or Toyota. It is in the shade enough that this time of year we were only able to get about 1/4 mile down the trail. Snow drifts were 1-4 feet high and sloping. we didn't want to risk sliding off the trail so we went on the sunny side of the hill and turned snowmobile trails into Jeep trails again for the warmer weather.

Some downed logs. The roads are getting narrow with the brush and trees. Great trail for custom north Idaho pin striping. Made it through in a jeep but it’s more of a side by side/ATV trail.
