Trail Overview

Logger Springs Road is a really fun way to explore the Albion Mountains. It is a great place to camp, and it also has a ton of areas to cut Christmas trees. If you are visiting City of Rocks in summer and it is too hot, this road would be a great way to escape the heat. The road is passable by most high clearance vehicles. It does get rough in a few spots where 4x4 can be very handy. Cache Peak dominates the view for much of the road. It is one of the highest peaks in Idaho and is over 10,000 feet. The area is in Idaho, very close to the borders of Utah and Nevada. Could be impassable with snow during winter.

There is some snow covering the road once you get to the pine trees shading the trail. Not passable in a pickup truck. Snow is probably 24” -30” deep the pickup couldn’t stay on top of the snow. Sidexsides made it through.
