Trail Overview

The Leg Creek ATV Trail is an easy 2.4-mile two-track through the Challis National Forest. It starts on Road 695 and winds its way through forest and hillsides to the intersection with Squaw Creek ATV, which is a much more challenging trail. It goes along a flat shelf path traversing the side of a mountain through the sagebrush with a broad open view of the mountains. The path is wide and easy, so there isn't much exposure even though it's on a shelf. It goes back into some pine trees on an easy, flat track with hardly any rocks and goes through a few tiny stream crossings and past grazing cows. This trail is open 7/1 - 9/30 for motorized use.
