Trail Overview

Depending on which direction this is ridden will contribute to the difficulty rating. When riding from the "South Horseshoe/Relay Ridge" side of the trail system, the trail follows the ridge and flows through a few meadows before summiting Garnes Peak. There is not a clear trail at the top, but please be respectful of the area as there can be snowpack late in the spring. After the summit, you will descend back down into the valley with a variety of rock features and somewhat steep and rutted terrain. Going down is not much of a challenge, but coming up will require some skill and momentum. Not a long trail, but the views and meadows are beautiful.

Difficulty

Coming down, this is closer to a 3 rating, as it is just a bit steep and loose. Coming up will be more challenging, but you can take your time and pick your way through the obstacles without much issue.
