Trail Overview
This nearly 11-mile ATV trail is amazing!! The trail itself is designed to accommodate vehicles less than or equal to 50 inches in width, with lots of tight, narrow obstacles, climbing (and descending) rocky hairpin turns, and a few flat stretches where riders can catch their breath. The nature of the terrain covers the whole spectrum of natural experiences from dense stands of fir, lodgepole, and aspen, rock formations, panoramic views, and high mountain meadows. There are some breathtaking views, like Monument Point and Lookout Point. This trail is a favorite destination for many of the local folks, so you can expect to encounter other riders. Fortunately, there are wide spots provided for passing oncoming traffic, but even so, a little awareness can avoid some unpleasantness.
Difficulty
This trail is designed to take advantage of the unique capabilities of ATVs and motorcycles. That means lots of short, steep rocky grades, sharp turns, tight fits between trees, etc.
