Trail Overview

This is one of several easy ATV trails in the Danskin Trail System of the Boise National Forest. On the north end, this one starts in a pine tree forest with a big creek crossing that is deep in parts, as it leaves ATV trail #300. It climbs up to a ridge line with several steep hill climbs. The trail is two-track width on a wide ridge line and cuts across the sides of rolling green hills with wide open grassy meadows. It has wide sweeping turns as it zig-zags up the side of a mountain, and one section of thick branches on an inside corner that makes like a tunnel that you have to go through. The most challenging aspect of this easy ATV trail is that it sometimes has ruts on one side of the trail, making the rider have to pick the high points of the trail, which can be more difficult for an ATV. There are a couple of rogue loose rocks in the trail, but it is mostly a smooth dirt surface and overall an easy ATV trail.
