S68 runs along the west bank of Sweetwater Creek connecting S61 and Cleveland Road. This quiet forest route winds through long stretches of mixed pine woodland and sandy forest terrain, offering a peaceful drive through one of Florida’s largest state forests The road is periodically maintained but remains a natural forest route. Expect a mix of sand and packed sand, sandy ruts, and a shallow water crossing. During or after rain, water crossings and rutted areas may exceed 12 inches in depth.
