Trail Overview
This trail is located within the Babcock-Webb Wildlife Management Area. The Florida Fish & Wildlife Commission requires a $3 per person or $6 per vehicle for daily use fee. Some exceptions may apply to those who hold a current WMA Permit from FWC; check with FWC and download the specific WMA regulations posted on their website. Once onsite, you are required to check-in at the "Check Station", which is an iron post next to an information board located on the north side of Zemel Road. See the picture of the check station. Remember to tread lightly and to remain on only named or numbered roads/trails. The trail head for this trail is located off Road 3 and Seminole Grade. This is a short trail along the north canal berm. There are some narrow passage corridors, but in general, they are wide enough for two vehicles. Engaging 4x4 is not needed. Wildlife or cattle may be encountered as you make your way to the trail or along the trail. I have frequently seen bald eagles perched in pine trees or flying overhead while riding this trail. Only Street Legal Vehicles are Allowed per Fish & Game regulations.
