Trail Overview

R52 runs along the high ground east of the Bull Pen Branch, connecting Eadie Cotton Road and R47. This quiet forest route winds through stretches of mixed pine woodland and sandy forest terrain, offering a peaceful drive through one of Florida’s largest state forests. The road is periodically maintained but remains a natural forest route. Expect some muddy sections and occasional deep ruts.

R52 as well as the other trails in the area, can get sloppy after rain, so expect occasional ruts and a few packed sand mud holes during the summer rainy season.
