Trail Overview

The Ocala National Forest Road 24 ST 3.2A2 connects the ONF 24ST3.2A at the west end and ONF 40-5.61 which leads to Highway 40 at the east end in the southwest part of the Ocala National Forest. The road conditions are a mixture of packed sand, loose sand, and some very deep (2-3 feet), wide, and long holes (up to 100 feet) that are always flooded. The road is narrow and not wide enough for two vehicles to pass. 4WD and high clearance are highly recommended. All vehicles must be street-legal. Ocala National Forest is in Florida, north of Orlando. It's known for its large areas of sand pine scrub forest. The Juniper Springs, Alexander Springs, and Salt Springs recreation areas have natural pools and canoe runs. There are hundreds of lakes and ponds in the region including Lake Kerr and the enormous Lake George.

We were out there last night. Trail is dusty and an easy ride this time of year. Minimal pinstripes.

Many tree branches on each side of the trail, it can really scratch up you vehicle. some flooded areas where it starts up level then all of the sudden it sinks couple inches 3-8” I recommend to come with someone else, and bring straps in case of getting stuck. Along the trail you will see a couple of ponds around you, some of the water crossing are around 1 to 3 feet and a half deep.
