Trail Overview

North South Spur Road is a short trail designated in the Four Creek State Forest. It is one of many spurs off the main road in the state forest. This trail frequently overflows from the creeks around it and makes for a quick and fun adventure through the water. The water is 12-14" deep in most places. Good all-terrain or mud tires and 4wd are recommended as the bottom of the water hole area is soft silt from the creek. OHVs are not allowed except for 3 Florida State Forests. According to the state forest ranger, as long as vehicles stay on designated roads, they can explore anywhere within the state forest. OHVs are not allowed except for 3 Florida State Forests. Trail was shorter than expected, a couple of muddy spots easily made it through in 4wd.

Making the North (left from entrance) turn off main road was easily navigable but making the right, there is a steep and quickly overtaking drop inside the “puddle”. Easily goes from 7-12 inches deep to about 2 foot more drop- or more, as I noticed the deep downward angle and abruptness of depth change I decided to reverse- saw a stranding in the same waterway that required pulling out. Water inside doors.
