Trail Overview

This is a scenic ride through the Arbuckle Wildlife Management Area. The trail is accessed of the north end of School Bus Road within the Arbuckle Wildlife Management Area northeast of Avon Park. School Bus Road is compacted red clay, but can be a little slick when wet during heavy rain events. Trail heading to Lake Goodwin is rock/gravel with an even grade.

Difficulty

This is an easy and well-maintained roadway in the Arbuckle Wildlife Management Area. There are a couple of narrow passes with a few small ledges along stormwater conveyance structures.

This is a short but fun trail—very easy, even with a regular car. You can enjoy a bit of nature and history along the way. It’s a great spot for a picnic or fishing. Just be sure to stay on the trails and watch for any road closure signs.
