Trail Overview

Hales Loop is a single-track bypass of McDaniel Road featuring mostly sand and hard-packed sand terrain. The route includes two shallow, gravel-bottom water crossings and a deeply rutted hill that can become more challenging after wet weather. This scenic connector offers a fun alternative to the main road while remaining manageable for most high-clearance vehicles.

Easy in dry conditions but significantly more challenging after rain. Deep muddy ruts on the hill may require aggressive tires and careful line choice. Two shallow water crossings can flood during heavy rainfall.
