Trail Overview

The gator hole throughway runs parallel to South Grade Road from the 471 though the management area. It features consistently tight trails, mild sand and minor mud spots. In all, this is a nice ride through the woods - albeit claustrophobic. Don't expect many places to pass or turn around and, be sure you're ready to get a few pinstripes.

Difficulty

There are quite a few tight and difficult turns along the route in addition to periodic steep ledges and canted tracks that, if entered wrong, could get the vehicle stuck or damage the underbody.

got stuck in some deeper trenches heading west about a mile in. stock height truck bottomed out. thankfully someone was able to pull me out. Definitely a tougher trail in some parts but very beautiful none the less.

fun trail, did get stuck in some mud but overall very fun trail. most of the muddy spots have dried up a bit and you can go around.

Trail completely dry. Tight in places. Evidence of recent work to fill some of the holes.

Water crossing with no bypass was ~3-5ft deep, not really a green trail constable. Made. it through with no issues, water was coming over the front windshield. Be ware in. smaller vehicle.

Fun single track, gets pretty tight in certain spots but none the less fun! It had rained hard all morning which made for a muddy experience, never needed 4wd but made sure to hit the holes with some speed. All in all i hade a great time, definitely going back soon
