Trail Overview

This trail starts at the famous Freebirds gas station and wanders through tight trails that will pinstripe wide vehicles unequipped for mall crawlers. This trail has two good places to test your suspension work, with ledges, lots of articulation, sugar sand, and some deep water holes after it rains. There are a few places you can camp. The trail wanders through the National Forest and ends on Highway 20. Go straight across 20 to the south to continue the Florida Adventure Trail (FAT).

Trail was dry besides one mud hole. There was a steep section that a lifted vehicle would have no problem going through. Trail does get narrow wouldn't recommend a full size truck going down.

Was really just loose sand for the most part, no issues didn’t get stuck only part that is tight is the very beginning but it’s not over grown

This is a good route to view some of the national forest. If you start from US319, the first trail will be the tightest as far as some bushes but shouldn't pinstripe. This is not a technical trail. Even though we have had more than usual rain fall and today was rainy, the trail is only dirty, not challenging. Enjoy!
