Trail Overview

Citrus WMA Trail 11B, identified as Forest Road 11B on Florida Forest Service maps, is a 2.6-mile, full-width 4WD route in the Citrus Tract of Withlacoochee State Forest near Inverness, Florida. The trail connects with West Stage Coach Trail and provides access to the Citrus Wildlife Management Area’s network of designated forest roads. Trail 11B is generally considered an easy route suitable for beginners with high-clearance vehicles. Its surface includes sugar sand and dirt, with mild eroded sections and occasional shallow water or mud. Low areas throughout the Citrus Tract may become wetter during Florida’s summer rainy season, so conditions can change after heavy rainfall. Only licensed vehicles may travel on open, designated forest roads in Citrus WMA. Unlicensed dirt bikes and ATVs are prohibited outside Croom Motorcycle Area. Visitors should remain on designated roads, consult the official georeferenced map and check for closures related to flooding, prescribed burns or hunting seasons before entering.
