Trail Overview
A wide sugar-sand trail winding through dense Florida scrub and pine forest. The bright white sand stays loose throughout, with deep ruts in areas that can slow your momentum, making 4WD a preferred choice. Tall sand pines, live oaks, and thick palmettos create a shaded tunnel for most of the drive, making it a very pretty trail, with a few sharp turns keeping things from becoming completely routine. The trail remains easy and non-technical, offering a peaceful cruise through authentic Florida backcountry. Near the end, the forest suddenly opens into a broad scrub plain of palmettos and scattered pines, where sweeping sunrise views across the flat landscape provide the highlight of the route. Great trail for beginners learning their vehicle, or anyone looking for a great view.
Difficulty
The trail is wide and non-technical though in some areas the deep sugar sand can be challenging if inexperienced. 4WD is recommended for keeping momentum through the softer sections, though experienced drivers in capable 2WD vehicles can still make it through. No obstacles, steep climbs, or tight points are on this trail.
